A record of capital
allocation and judgement
over time.

I’m Henry Viola-Heir, a private investor, and this site is a record of how capital is allocated, reviewed, and, where necessary, misjudged over time.

It sits somewhere between a journal and a working document, shaped less by opinion and more by decisions and their outcomes.

Most of the writing focuses on process, behaviour, and the practical realities of managing capital across different conditions. Not every entry reaches a clear conclusion, but each is intended to leave a more accurate record than the one that came before it.

Markets continue to reprice unevenly, and the gap between narrative and underlying performance remains wider than it first appears. In practice, that shifts the focus away from opportunity and toward discipline.
